1 Delamere Point Reviews

Victoria
Beautiful lodge, just what we needed. The beach was a lovely added piece and our daughter loved playing in the sand. I felt safe knowing my daughter had space to explore but the gated area helped her stay in eye distance. Only one thing that wouod help is having a dush pan and brush maybe, just to help with a quick clean up. Otherwise everything was great, will definitely be booking again.
The Lodge on the face of it looks lovely but it was really dirty, full of cobwebs throughout, the rug in the Lounge is old and very badly drained and turned up at one end. The washing machine was grimy and the door seal needed cleaning before we used it. The kettle needed descaling before we used it. Had to Hoover the main Lounge before unpacking. When we stripped the bedding at the end of our stay only 3 of the 10 pillows had pillow protectors and the mattress protector on the double bed had two big yellow stains on it. The hot tub hadnt been cleaned and the maintenance team came and hoovered out all the sand but didnt check the ph levels so we couldnt use it. It was a lovely day on the Sunday but we couldnt enjoy the deck because half the furniture cushions were missing and what was there were wet from the rain overnight as there is no cover for the furniture. The whole time we were there we had to leave the Lodge unlocked when we went out as the front door was broken and we had to go in and out of the patio doors but there was no key to lock from the outside. The front door top one had dropped and the only way you could open and close the for was to try and lift it up and it is really heavy. This was a celebratory weekend for 2 birthdays and Mothers Day, it was hugely disappointing. Paid a 5 price for luxury accommodation but received 1 hygiene and cleanliness and facilities not available.
1Delamere Point is a lovely property with n a lovely location, sunset and sunrise were lovely and we had a fabulous weekend, hot tub was a bonus would have liked it a tad hotter but it was enjoyed by all. We have booked to go again end of May
Fabulous weekend, comfortable environment, great location, kids loved our private beach and the outdoor area and hot tub was perfect. Would happily return and recommend 1 Delamere Point. Attention to detail needed with cleaning and damaged items cups and glasses need to be checked and replaced. A dustpan and brush would have been useful.
The property was in a fabulous location on the lake. It was all amazing inside. Extras were the dishwasher and washing machine which werent on the listings? The extra TVs were a bonus so my mam could watch the soaps in her room! The hot tub was a huge hit with all three generations. We were on it at least three times a day. My only fault was only one of the three lightbulbs was working in the bathroom, I did mention this on the first morning and they said theyd send someone, they never arrived. But on the last day when I handed the keys back the man at reception was confused as he said hed sent someone, so think this was just a miscommunication. Couldnt fault the property and would love to return but a long drive from Northumberland, otherwise would be a regular.
Lovely stay. Lodge well equipped.

Incredible stay in which we can not wait to return! !! Just a few things on arrival, previous guests food still left in the fridge and could have done with a good clean. cobwebs everywhere on the wooden entrance and top windows looking out to the lake. No mat was provided for coming back into the lodge from the outside which meant we had to keep hoovering mopping. Also outside furniture cushions had been left outside and got soaked so unable to use which was a little disappointing. However despite the above the lodge was incredible, down to the finest detail of little trinkets to the beautiful decor. I wish we could have bought it.
Yvonne
We absolutely loved our stay here everything you could want was there with its very own little beach area with sun chairs it was october when we went and had some torrential rain but the views were amazing and to be in the hot tub with the moon glistening on the water was magical. There was plenty of places nearby to go and visit or just sit and look out at the view with the ducks and swans comeing up to your lodge. Will be back next year.
More attention needed for outside areas an empty cider can full of cigarette butts was on the decking a decking plank is poking up which is a trip hazard hot tub had sand in it saw this on previous reviews so contacted Sykes before we travelled to ensure hot tub was clean this did not happen the mat next to the hot tub dirty furniture cushions were there which was good however it had rained most of the day before we arrived no cover on the furniture and no cover anywhere to be seen cushions were totally saturated with water unusable we contacted Sykes to tell them no cover available but no action was taken. The Lodge itself was spotlessly clean and was of a high standard.
Hello. We wanted to say that we had the most wonderful time, the place is absolutely stunning, and we were all blown away by how beautiful it was. Just a little feedback, there were not enough mirrors, we could really have done with a big mirror in the bunk bed room, and the mirror in the twin room was far too small, and tinted glass dont couldnt use it anyway. And the second thing, the ensuite bathroom absolutely stank, of a horrible egg sewage type smell on the second day, and this smell came and went for about 24 hours. But neither of these stopped us having the best time, and loving the lodge! Thank you xxx
What a beautiful place! The position, looking over the lake, with stunning views from the decking and hot tub is absolutely perfect. The inside is beautifully appointed and furnished, and has absolutely everything you could need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our children adored the built in bunk beds! I had noted from a previous review that there were a few spiders, and so had expected to encounter a couple, but there were loads! Mostly on the outside of the chalet, but if the doors or windows were left open at all they also came in to enjoy the lovely interior. They were easily dealt with by my husband, or the vacuum cleaner, but I'd guess that the gorgeous countryside around the lake provides a haven for wildlife of all varieties, so you have to put up with a few spiders whilst enjoying the ducks, geese and swans! The proximity to Wild Shore was a bonus, we also brought a stand up paddle board and enjoyed the direct access from the private beach for time on the lake with the kids. Booking was simple, communication was great and we hope to stay again soon! Thank you!
Absolutely stunning property. No expense spared in a beautiful location. Best hot tub weve had by far, maintained daily with an amazing view of the lake. Little essentials box provided and all mod cons. Perfect getaway near lots of local things to do. Welcome pack had lots of suggestions for days out and places to eat. We dont often find somewhere we would visit again but this is definitely the place, we loved it.

The property is advertised with garden furniture this was a huge factor is us chosing this property so we could sit out and enjoy the scenery. Once we had settled in after check in we found that the cushions for the outdoor furniture was locked away in outside storage. We called Reception who said they would speak to the owner, the next morning we had to call back as hadn't heard back from them to be told the owner was refusing to give the code. We were told to complain to skyes, we called spoke to a gentleman who said he would speak with owner and get back to us. My return call from skyes was 11am on the Monday after we had checked out. The Reception brought us some cushions from their furniture to use but half our holiday was already gone. It was just really dispointing as the property is beautiful and in such a beautiful location and we didn't really get to enjoy it as we would have liked.
Beautiful property and nice and quiet just what we wanted for our break away will be booking again for sure xxx
The property is beautifully furnished and has everything you need to be completely comfortable. The setting is wonderfully relaxing but is close to really nice restaurants, gastro pubs and coffee shops. The site staff were outstanding and did everything they could to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed.
Amazing getaway, will definitely be booking again in the future.
Charlotte
We all loved it. Cant wait to come back. Weve told our families too!
Sandie
We were very disappointed after specifically booking this accommodation to find on our arrival that the hot tub hadnt been heated and wasnt ready until the following day. We called the helpline to be told there was nothing to be done.
