The Rhiw Reviews

Great stay, location was great for where we wanted to go, comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay again!
We had a lovely stay at the Rhiw! We were greeted upon arrival and the host was lovely and welcoming. The pod was well stocked and cozy. The smart TV was an added bonus! Everything was super clean and tidy and the hottub was amazing with beautiful views and even though it was close to the hosts home, it was very private. It is in an isolated area, however there are lots of things to do with only a short drive. Overall, we had such a relaxing weekend away and we would definitely recommend the Rhiw.
Kirsty
Gorgeous pod with a great location. Very clean. Hosts leave you to enjoy your stay but are close enough to be on hand if needed. Lovely views. On clear nights you see shooting stars! Wouldn't be suitable for anyone with any mobility issues as the stairs are a work out but I loved that it was high up and out of the way!
Brenda

Really nice stay, really cosy and we loved the hot tub. It was close to the owners house however it still felt secluded and private. The cabin itself was so nice and clean on the inside and has everything you need, they left us a bottle of champagne which was extremely thoughtful. Overall the property is expensive so we wouldn't spend much longer than a weekend, however it was an extremely relaxing time in the middle of the Welsh countryside
Alycia
Gorgeous little cabin, in which the husband and son hand built so extra special and lovely
Hannah
Perfect for two! We had the most relaxing four night stay. Great layout, you can step straight out of the door into the hot tub, which feels very secluded and private but still has lovely views, watched a beautiful sunrise from there, lots of different birds, and looks amazing lit by moonlight too. Thank you for accommodating our very last minute same day booking and very late 1am arrival.
We had lovely 2 night stay. Hot tub was ready for us on arrival and was well enjoyed after long walks. The rhiw is well located with access to north and south Wales. Thank you for a lovely stay Jamie, Peggy and Simba

This property is a slice of heaven, lovely views from the pod, cute little garden with seating to look out over the fields. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space, didnt feel cramped in anyway shape or form. Bed was extremely comfortable so was the double sofachair for watching tv. We had everything we needed from kitchen accessories to towels, robes etc for the hot tub which was fantastic day or night. Everything was clean and tidy, you can tell the pod was made with love and affection. The hosts were friendly and approachable! Great base we went to Bangor, Aberystwyth, Devils Bridge, BetwsYCoed, Welshpool, New Town, Zip World. Great escape in any weather. Lots of leaflets and information in the pod for you if you dont pre plan activities, plenty of walkingforest not a far drive away. Visit Powis Castle and Gardens its beautiful there & National Trust. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be visiting again in the future! Sam, Craig & Bailey x
It was absolutely gorgeous. So cosy, just perfect for a quiet get away. Felt like camping with all the creature comforts you needed, a beautiful view and the fact I could bring my puppy on his first holiday was great. The hot tub was beautiful.
Fantastic Property and Location. Hot Tub was great. A pefect break. Very quite exept for the odd sheep bleeting. Bats were amazing to watch from the Hot Tub. Loads of diffrent birds flying around. It would have been perfect if there had been no clouds at night. Will definetly book again.

We had a lovely stay at The Rhiw. The views from the pod are stunning and it has everything you need. The hot tub is a luxury and we felt comfortable during our stay and had privacy from the owners house. We stayed on a hot weekend and the owners were really helpful and lent us a fan as it gets quite warm in the little pod. Something to note is that it's not fully fenced off for dog, we kept ours on a lead whenever we took him outside but this wasn't a problem for us he fit under the gap of the board that could be pulled over by the steps. Thank you again for a wonderful stay and we would love to return in the colder months to experience a cosy vibe D
This holiday was a gift from my husband for my 60th bday. An amazing pod with everything you would need, brilliant views, peace and quiet apart from crows!! The only downside was the constant whining and barking of the owner's dog, which was so distressing for us.
Had a great time the weather was great, views to die for.
Absolutely lovely stay thank you so much xx
This pod is beautiful, the views are to die for. The owners are lovely and leave you alone to enjoy your experience. Sitting in the hottub at night and looking up at the stars is stunning. The pod is very cosy, comfortable and has everything you need. Sit in the little garden with the fire pit going is great. I will definitely go back. Thankyou Nickie and Peter .
Lauren
Perfect little get away. We had a quiet and relaxing stay at the rhiw. Everything we needed was there and more. the view was stunning and the hot tub under the stars were second to none. Thankyou for a wonderful break away, we will definitely be returning
Absolutely amazing accommodation everything you will ever desire is on offer. Cabin is so cute and felt like a home from home straight away, everything you need is already provided air fryers and hot plates for cooking, don't miss out x.
The Rhiw is an unique pod, small but perfectly formed, in our opinion! Its position is tucked away, behind & above the owners' property, but completely private despite the proximity. Completely cosy, due to central heating, very comfortable bed, & brilliant idea of separate access from hottub to the bathroom, keeping drips away from the living space! Chair is a bit cosy for 2, but owners are aware, have a plan in mind!! Fantastic views from the front of the pod, and the side garden, and brilliant star gazing when weather allowed! from the hottub, with several shooting stars observed!? A complete get away from it all location not an A road within 7 miles be careful following SatNav to other locations, as some of the routes can be rather adventurous, to say the least ! Hosts could not be faulted, very friendly upon arrival and departure, but happy to leave us in peace, in between we have no doubt they would have fallen over themselves to help, if we had experienced any problems! Altogether, a lovely break away from normal life even if it rained almost every day!! Thank you.
Stephanie
Lovely, romantic, comfortable stay. Beautiful views and hot tub under the stars is amazing. WiFi is a little patchy could use an extender. Also the poor doggy in the outside kennel was crying all afternoon on a couple of days which made it tricky to relax. Otherwise really nice stay.
Very nice and relaxing
Lovely place ,very private ,lovely owners and loved the hot tub seeing a shooting star was just the icing on the cake

Absolutely loved it would definitely recommend and stay there again ourselves ... Absolutely loved it would definitely recommend and stay there again ourselves such a lovely place with amazing views all the time everywhere you look and the best hosts thanks again
Debbie
Honestly while there are some positives not the best experience, felt very much like you were staying at the bottom of your parentsgrandparents garden especially as they could be heard going to and from the garage almost all day. Dog could be heard crying at all times and kennel directly below the cabin stunk on multiple occasions. Hot tub a little on the small side and probably needed a better chemical balance as lots of grime bubbles came out quickly with limited use only used three or four times total, guest hot tub not far from owners hot tub and could hear their entertainment which wasnt ideal. Struggled to get to park due to visitors. Overgrown plants on pathways which were covered in flies constantly so you couldnt have the door open and surprisingly not much of a view considering the location. At first glance cabin is modern and there are some good amenities but the space could be better used, the bathroom especially which is cramped and too spacious at the same time eg the sink is crammed into a corner and then half the room is empty.
Charlotte
The property was beautiful and incredibly clean on arrival. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay with plentiful utensils and bathroom supplies. They even left us a bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely touch. Both owners greeted us on arrival which was lovely. The cottage is super private and has amazing views. The only problem is that the wifi is a little bit unstable and drops out occasionally, which meant that accessing the internet was patchy at times. Also, my partner and I went to use the hot tub on our last night, for the first time, but we both noticed that the water had been filled too high. This meant that it overflowed over the sides when anyone got into it, which was disappointing. Also, the hot tub filter kept bobbing up and down in the water and was loose, so unfortunately we were both unable to use the hot tub. Other than that, we both really enjoyed our stay.
Samuel
Overall had a wonderful stay we booked 2 nights for 2 of us with a small dog. However, we would suggest taking some insect repellent as there was a lot due to the close proximity of fields, taking a fan in warm months, fill up on petrol as you will have to drive a lot to go anywhere. And we recommend the Fish and chippy 8 mins away in llanfair it was gorgeous and good prices and Lake vernwy good day out 4 all day parking. Pros Gorgeous view Your own Garden space Smart tv which has access to films Really comfy bed Hot tub?! Obviously Suggestions Maybe a gate at the top of stairs? stop dogs going down steps as when we were in the hot tub trying to relax our dog kept trying to run down them so we couldnt sit in the hot tub for long Short fence barrier in the garden area to help prevent dogs falling down slope Earlier Check in time or later check out time as it is quite a pricey trip and we found these check in and check out times limited us a lot More lights outside Maybe a suggestion in the book of where is best to get phone signal wifi around the pod area would come in handy for ringing takeaways We would still recommend the stay as we still had a lovely time! Its like a little home from home. Thank you!
Cottage was just beautiful the surroundings were magnificent and the sights from the lodge was breathtaking. The hot tub wasnt overly clean we had black bits and hair in it when we first opened it put us off a little but we got it all out before using it. Everything that was in the lodge was just perfect would definitely book with them again
Darren
Had a lovely time at the property. Great location for walking and exploring Wales with the added perk of a hot tub to sooth tired muscles after. Would definitely recommend and will be using again if we are ever in the area.
Rhiannon
This place is amazing! The scenery is beautiful, the accomodation is beautiful and picturesque. It was superbly clean and the facilities were more than adequate for what was needed. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I could not recommend this place enough. Perfect for a getaway for a few says for some peace and quiet.
Gareth
Had an amazing time. The property was spotlessly clean and had more facilities than advertised. There was a toaster and a portable, two ring induction hob under the sink , loads of plates and cutlery along with condiments, chopping boards etc. The shower was brilliant if a little cramped for anyone near six foot but the water pressure and temperature were spot on. After a day out it was just so refreshing to have a proper shower to freshen up . The setting was amazing high up above the main house and the view was breathtaking . The hot tub is electric and therefore easily controllable and once youre in it youre almost guaranteed to be wrinkled by the time you get out as the views by day or night are beautiful. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming that leaving , even after only two nights stay , was quite sad
Patricia
Really special place, cozy, clean and comfortable, very well thought out for a small living space. Owners helpful and approachable, live next door but due to steep hillside, pod and outdoor space felt really private. Hot tub with a view was just perfect. Totally loved it, didn't want to leave! No 'walks from the door' or pubshop nearby so had to drive everywhere, didn't matter but worth mentioning. Take spare towels & swimsuit if wet weather forecast as not much space to dry stuff.
Sheridan
Everything you needed was provided. Very enjoyable stay. Lovely views and very peaceful.
Great accommodation for a few nights while enjoying the wonderful Mid Wales scenery. The hot tub was excellent after a days walking. Great views.
The pod was very comfortable and the hot tub was nice for relaxing in the evening! Owners were very welcoming on arrival. Only thing was the wifi signal kept crashing out which we needed there. As the mobiles struggled for any service in the area. Would still recommend!
Little hidden place, perfect to relax. Everything we needed was there. Thank you
Such a amazing pod ! !!!! Everything you need like a home from home !!! You can really see all the work that has gone in to this pod!the views are amazing!the hottub is a brilliant touch for the evening to watch the stars! Peaceful, romantic, relaxing The weekend was made even better I got engaged!!!!! Will 1000 be back and would very highly recommend!!!!
